Determine how much daily sleep your child needs
and set a regular time for bed.
Create a specific bedtime routine and consistently follow that routine.
Do calm and relaxing things before bedtime to help your child settle down,
like drawing or reading together.
Have your child use the toilet just before bedtime.
Incorporate bedtime rituals, like playing soft music, listening to
soothing bedtime stories or praying.
Lower the tone of your voice and darken your child’s environment.
These are
cues that naturally prepare their little body to get sleepy.
Hug your child before you say good night. Nurturing is the most effective
way to give your child the comfort to sleep peacefully. |
